도잉아트는 오는 2024년 8월 20일부터 9월 21일까지 《우리로부터 멀어지는 것들 All that Escapes from Us》 전시를 개최한다. 이번 전시에 참여하는 김연홍, 문은채, 배윤재, 이도경, 이준희, 조윤중 작가는 오는 8월 31일 부터 열리는 ‘더프리뷰 성수’ 아트페어에도 함께한다. ‘미리보기’를 의미하는 ‘프리뷰 (preview)’의 뜻에 맞게 ‘더프리뷰 성수’는 신진 작가의 작업을 가장 먼저 소개하는 교류의 장이다. 도잉아트에서는 ‘더프리뷰 성수’에 참여하는 작가들의 작품을 더 심도있게 보여주고자 이번 전시를 준비하였다.
푸릇한 색감과 부드러운 곡선, 마치 꿈이나 동화에서 튀어나온 듯한 이미지들은 아직 때묻지 않은 순수 하면서도 열정적인 모습을 보여준다. 다채로운 색면과 물감 덩어리가 마치 마법처럼 유동치는 듯한 김연홍 작가의 작품. 평면적인 구도로 강조되는 색감으로 인해 푸른색으로 안으로 빠져들 것만 같은 문은채 작가의 작품. 겹겹이 쌓여진 굴곡의 정체불명의 형상이 곧 피어날 준비를 하고 있는 듯한 배윤재 작가의 작품. 동물들의 연주가 살아 숨쉬는 이도경 작가의 작품. 격정적인 별과 달의 움직임을 표현한 이준희 작가의 작품. 빛의 태동과 자연의 생명력이 돋보이는 조윤중 작가의 작품.
어릴 적 읽었던 해님 달님 이야기, 토끼풀로 엮어 만들었던 반지, 마법사가 되어 거실을 누빌 때 썼던 담요. 이 모든 기억들은 스쳐 지나가고 다시는 돌아오지 않을 그리움의 순간들이다. 어른이 되어 갈수록 점점 우리에게 멀어지는 것들이 여기 잠시나마 머물러 있다. 곧 다시 흩어 사라질지언정, 현재의 우리를 만든 옛 조각들을 이곳에 모아본다. 흩날리는 꽃잎을 잡으면 소원이 이뤄진다는 이야기를 떠올리며, 작품으로 탄생한 기억조각들을 완전히 사라지기 전에 쥐여본다.

Green color, soft curves, and images that look like they are from a dream or a fairy tale show innocence yet passion. Kim Yeonhong’s work has colorful surfaces and chunks of paint, magically flowing. In Moon Eunchae’s work, the colors are emphasized by flat composition, letting the viewers fall into the blue. Work is by Bae Yoonjae, with an unidentified figure with layered curves, looks as if it is ready to bloom. In the work by Lee Dokyung, lively animals play their music. Lee Joonhee shows the passionate movement of stars and the moon. Cho Yoonjoong highlighted the birth of light and the vitality of nature.
The story of the sun and moon we read in childhood, the ring we made with flowers, and the blanket we used to be a be wizard. All these memories that we miss pass by and will never return. All the things that are gradually moving away from as we grow are staying here for a while. Although they may soon scatter and disappear again, we collect the old pieces that made us as we are today. Like catching petals to make a wish, let us hold the memory pieces before they completely disappear.
